A Soft Rustle
Everything was so quiet. Then, a tiny warmth tickled my paws. I blinked, realizing I could move. Slowly, carefully, I tilted my head to look around the soft white bed. Beside me sat a bold red doll with big shoes, completely still. I gently extended one front paw, touching the folds of the crisp fabric beneath us. It made a faint, papery rustle. I paused, listening closely to the lovely sound, and settled right back into the cozy hollow of the blanket.
