The Rolling Castor
I slipped back inside through the flap as evening settled in, heading straight across the rug to rest my feet! Parked right near the hallway corner was an old wooden storage ottoman on tiny steel ball castors. I dropped down onto my hands and knees and gave the smooth chrome swivel bracket a brisk shove. Squeak-rattle! The little ball bearing inside spun in a full, silent circle, gliding the wooden leg across the floorboards. I leaned my shoulder against the lower rail, giggling as the whole box gave a gentle wobble before settling into a warm, cozy corner!
