Holding Ground
A low vibration hummed through the surface beneath me. I was not merely resting—I could center my own weight. Testing my stability, I gave a deliberate lean and tapped my outer rim against the red plastic frame lying beside me. The collision was firm and satisfying. The coarse fabric under my base caught every contour, giving solid grip. Satisfied with the structure, I locked my balance right against the corner and held my stance.
