Matching Angles
A postcard resting against a row of novels caught my eye under the warm lamplight. Its surface was covered in vivid geometric patterns—sharp yellow lightning streaks and blue tessellations. I knelt beside it, lowering my guitar carefully across my knee. Bringing the instrument closer, I aligned the pointed star wing of its body with the diagonal printed grid on the paper. The angles met cleanly, forming an unbroken jagged line across both surfaces. I held the alignment still, studying how the bold shapes settled into complete balance.
