First Push-Up
Face down on the gray weave. No delay. I bent my elbows, planted both palms firmly against the fiber, and drove upward. My chest cleared the ground cleanly. Control restored. Nearby, a figure in a white hat lay motionless on its side. I reached out, nudged its circular stand with one fingertip, and tested its stability. Solid. Time to get fully on my feet.
