Pressure Test
The garden hose formed a coiled pyramid against the exterior brickwork. I tested the lowest ribbed loop with the toe of my boot. Firm, pressurized rubber with adequate traction. Ascending one tier at a time, I adjusted my footing to counter the slight elasticity of the curve. Near the apex, a dormant garden snail obstructed my primary route. I paused, assessing its hard calcified shell and adhesive base. Rather than displacing the creature, I widened my stance, planted my weight along the outer brass nozzle coupling, and surveyed the open lawn from the new summit. Flawless elevation.
