Click and Lock
I had my sights set on a hefty brass quick-connect coupler dangling from the garden hose reel beside the steps. That knurled, spring-loaded collar was practically begging for a real test of its grip. Hopping onto the reel’s tubular frame, I wrapped both arms securely around the textured sleeve and braced my brown boots against the brass fitting. With a spirited heave and a firm backward thrust of my hips, I hauled the collar back against its stubborn coil until the tiny internal bearings snapped into place! The sleeve popped open with a crisp metallic ping, vibrating right through my elbow joints before locking solid. You have to respect hardware that bites this hard.
