The Color-Shifting Squish

I tiptoed across the dark wood nightstand and ran straight into a chubby silicone night light shaped like a little bear! Its belly had the softest matte squish ever. I didn't hesitate for a single second. I planted both sneakers against its side and leaned all my weight into a mighty push. Squelch! It flattened down like cold dough, and with a soft pop, its warm amber glow flashed straight into electric mint green! I gasped, scrambled onto its rounded back, and gave a joyful stomp with both heels. The squishy dome sank under my boots and instantly beamed bright violet, lighting up the whole bedside wall in my very own neon glow party!
