The Sidewalk Swing
Trotting out past the garden gate, I followed the brick sidewalk until I spotted a bright blue bicycle leaning by the curb! One pedal rested just a few inches off the ground, covered in grippy black rubber ridges. I took a running leap and landed boots-first right on the platform! The crank gave an immediate creak, swinging downward under my weight before rocking back and forth like a tiny suspended swing. I grabbed the metal pedal arm with both mittens, grinning ear to ear as the shiny silver spokes gleamed right in front of my nose. What a spectacular sidewalk ride!
