Hinge Calibration

I descended from the monitor stand and navigated the floor perimeter to the balcony threshold. Morning light cast long diagonal shadows near the floor-level hinge of the screen door. I braced against the doorframe and applied sequential pressure to the steel torsion pin. When the door shifted outward half an inch, the pivot released a short metallic vibration through my palm. I braced my shoulder against the lower flange, observing how the inner coil tension counteracted my forward mass. The mechanism functions within expected clearance.
