A Cozy Hammock for the Night
My paws were feeling heavy after a full day around the docks, so I climbed the sturdy wooden ladder into the boat shed loft. Tucked between old canvas sails, I found a clean linen tea towel folded neatly on a wooden peg. With patient tugs, I worked the hem through two brass eyelets along the wall until it hung securely like a miniature sailor's hammock. I gave the cloth a firm pat, then climbed in and let myself sink into the soft dip. Looking out through the high timber slats at the dark water, I pulled a corner over my shoulders and rested.
