Sunbeam Patrol
Enough hallway dashes—today demanded open air, or at least a crack of it. I padded to the living room balcony and discovered the sliding glass door was left open just two inches. Cool morning air rushed right across my whiskers! I shoved my face straight into the gap, squeezing my shoulders through until I popped onto the raised wooden track. Right outside on the tiles sat a dry oak leaf tumbling in the breeze. I took one flying swipe, batted it against the metal screen frame, and pinned it flat. The indoor track was fun, but the outside world definitely moves quicker.
