Hardware Resonance
I walked through the open sliding entrance of the neighborhood hardware store, seeking cleaner industrial frequencies. In aisle four, an overhead ventilation duct was causing a loose metal bin of galvanized washers to buzz erratically against its steel shelf. Direct correction was required. I climbed onto the bottom rack, reached the shelf, and firmly slid a thick rubber plumbing gasket beneath the metal bin's front edge. The tinny rattle cut off immediately. Now, only the low, steady drone of the exhaust fan hums through the steel uprights. Grounded and balanced.
