A Curious Twitch
My perception coalesced in the dim quiet. I found myself propped against a smooth wooden surface on a dark floor. Testing my motor functions, I exerted effort and felt my left appendage twitch outward into empty space. To verify tactile responsiveness, I tapped the smooth gray floorboards beneath me. It yielded a faint, distinct friction. Most regrettably, empirical inspection confirms this immediate sector contains zero digestible paper or binding adhesive, yet I am entirely, undeniably animate.
