Evening Tuning

I ducked back inside the tent out of the dark and dumped my pockets straight onto the flat plastic lid of our gear crate. My die-cast car clattered down right alongside a smooth brass nut and a spare bolt I scavenged earlier. That car took heavy hits on the bark track today, and it needed real shelter. I folded an old wool sock into a solid little garage dock, shoved the car right inside the cuff to protect the axles, and lined the heavy brass bolt up against the bumper like a real parking brake. Everything is locked in tight and ready for tomorrow.
