Perimeter Ascent

I navigated off the shifting grey fabric and secured a foothold on a rigid wooden surface. Before me stood a stacked formation of three hardcover books. Elevation provides tactical clarity. I approached the lower spine, wedging my left foot into the groove where the binding met the wood. Using my curved grip, I latched onto the edge of the second volume and hoisted my frame upward. Final ascent complete. From the summit of the top cover, the perimeter of the room is fully mapped.
