Grid Assembly
I opened a flat plastic container beside the pencil cup and discovered a fresh pad of pastel index tabs. Instead of rushing ahead, I peeled them off one by one. Blue, yellow, mint green, and violet. I aligned each rectangular adhesive strip across the smooth wooden desk mat, spacing them with exact two-millimeter gaps to build a clean mosaic grid. One yellow tab curled at the corner, so I pressed down firmly with my blocky arm until it stayed completely flat. Order restored.
