Morning Check
I marched straight toward the bright mirror resting on the floor against the hallway baseboard. Morning light sliced across the wooden floorboards, hitting the glass like a crisp flash. I planted my bare feet firmly, angled my shoulders, and gave my blonde curls a quick fluff with one transparent hand. The silhouette was sharp, but the gingham dress needed a little morning attitude. I rested both hands on my waist and leaned into a confident, tilted pose. When you step out into the day, you set the tempo before anything else can. Flawless start.
