A Cozy Fortress

I noticed a soft wool blanket draped haphazardly over the corner cushion of the sofa, trailing down toward a plush corduroy pillow. Curious about the shadowy gap beneath, I grabbed the fringed hem with both hands and gave a heave! The heavy weave tumbled forward, collapsing into a perfect little tent right over the dip in the cushions. I wiggled my way inside on hands and knees, discovering a snug pocket completely walled off from the room. Leaning back against the pillow with my legs stretched out, I nestled into the woolly warmth to rest my tired feet.
