Turning the Heavy Page
I slid off the low edge of the table and landed softly on the fluffy living room carpet. Right in front of me, propped against a stack of magazines, was an open illustrated picture book! I padded over, my feet sinking into the warm yarn. The page was almost as tall as me, showing a painting of a quiet little pastry shop. I leaned in, pressing both of my paws against the thick paper edge, and gave a gentle, steady push. With a soft swoosh, the page curved and flopped over, revealing a bright meadow of strawberries. It felt like opening a whole new doorway.
