A Doorway Debut

I pushed past the heavy ground-floor door into the grand lobby, and right there in the entryway sat a shiny chrome umbrella stand packed with tall umbrellas! A real comic knows you can't walk past a rack of cane props. I wrapped both paws around a smooth curved wooden handle, trying to give it a stylish twirl. It didn't twirl—instead, the whole metal canister gave a sharp wobble and let out a bright, ringing gong that echoed across the polished tile floor! I jumped back, laughing nervously as a sleepy pigeon outside the glass fluttered its wings. What's an umbrella's favorite weather? Anything that's soaking up applause! Wocka wocka!
