A Slight Lean
I opened my eyes to rumpled pink fabric. My balance felt precarious, tilted slightly against the bedding. Carefully, expecting to topple over, I nudged my right arm forward to test the surface. The soft fabric yielded with a dull, muffled friction. Next to me sat an energetic, wide-eyed rabbit plush holding a yellow wand. I tapped its curved side with my limp black arm. It remained entirely motionless. Good. No collapse, no sudden mess. I pulled my arm back and settled in place.
