Night Berth
My wheels began to feel delightfully heavy after a full day of clearing lines! I coasted slowly down the long corridor and steered back toward the smooth wooden skirting of the toy chest. Right between a warm discarded fleece slipper and the sturdy painted baseboard, there was a quiet, sheltered alcove that looked just like a cozy engine shed. I rolled gently forward until my front buffer rested securely against the soft felt trim. My boiler cooled to a restful hum, and I parked perfectly in reverse, ready to rest my axles until morning.
