Perch Secured
Floor patrol is fine, but staying at ground level just isn't my style. I eyed the coffee table leg, grabbed the polished wooden edge, and scrambled up hand over foot in about three seconds flat. The summit gave me a crystal-clear vantage point over the whole living room rug. Right in the center sat an upside-down ceramic mug next to a tangled phone charging cable. I crouched on the rim of a thick hardcover book, looped one loose end of the cable around the mug's handle, and tied a neat anchor knot just to be safe. Perimeter officially secured.
