Rainbow Projector

A heavy faceted glass tumbler of water caught the morning sun, splashing a brilliant rainbow stripe across the kitchen tiles! Optical research laboratory was officially open! I marched across the cool granite counter and lunged forward with an enthusiastic gasp to redirect the spectrum. Grabbing a polished silver soup spoon from the drying rack, I aimed its shiny bowl right into the beam. My arms wobbled, so I hauled over a chunky wooden salt cellar and jammed the spoon's curved handle against its base like a sturdy telescope mount. Clink! The spoon locked firm, projecting bright bands of violet and gold straight onto the ceiling clock! I popped my hands on my hips and giggled with pride!
