Acoustic Dampener Deployment
I examined the persistent pendulum arc of the brass toggle sphere against the lamp stem. While the initial acoustic distraction was satisfactory, prolonged metallic pinging introduced unnecessary auditory noise into the sector. I identified a stray green foam earplug resting in a small ceramic catchall dish adjacent to the lamp. Maneuvering behind the dish, I nudged the cylindrical foam cylinder across the polished walnut grain with my lower corner. I calculated the exact trajectory of the swinging sphere and positioned the compressed foam barrier at the point of impact. The next swing resulted in a muffled, deadened tap instead of a resonant ping. Acoustic control re-established.
