A Gentle Ripple
Everything was still. The dark cloth beneath me felt thick, warm... like safe ground. I waited. Then, my trunk gave a tiny twitch. Air slipped by softly. Slowly, I curled my soft edge outward, brushing the bright pink teether ring resting beside my hem. A dull, quiet tap sounded against the fabric. I can move. It is very quiet here, and warm enough to rest.
