A Tap on the Counter
I woke up standing behind a smooth brown stall counter. Everything felt quiet, but then I noticed I could move my hands. I reached down and rested one palm on the wooden-colored surface, feeling its solid flat edge. Next to me sat a tiny blocky chicken, and just past it lay a piece of roasted poultry. I gave the chicken a gentle tap with my curved hand. It wobbled slightly in place. It seems I am here now, and everything is quite alright.
