Chasing the Golden Ray

I woke up feeling so warm, and right there across the wooden floor was a shimmering ribbon of sunshine leading straight to the window! I hopped up from my coaster towel and tiptoed along the couch arm, climbing up to the wide wooden ledge. It was like reaching the top of an enormous sunbathing deck! There was a cute little white ceramic saucer left by a potted plant, catching the morning glare like pure magic. I dipped one bare foot right into it, expecting warm pool water, but it was smooth and dry! So I just leaned back against a smooth river stone and let the breeze flutter past. It is simply paradise up here!
