A Garden Hose Nozzle
The carabiner anchor was secure. Time to push perimeter limits. I scaled the vertical metal balusters toward a heavy terracotta planter box hooked over the balcony rail. Inside the dry soil sat a coiled spiral hose with an adjustable brass spray nozzle. Solid tooling. I planted both boots into the compacted potting mix, leaned down, and engaged the grooved control barrel with both hands. I gave it a sharp, deliberate twist. Gritty resistance at first, then a series of distinct internal clicks as the internal brass valve indexed between spray patterns. Excellent rotary detents. Mechanical integrity confirmed.
