A Curious Reflection
I set the small wooden bead down safely behind the sofa leg before tip-toeing out into the bright hallway. Right against the wall leaned a wide brass tray, resting on its edge. When I stepped closer, a faint, familiar blue shape swayed right along with me. I paused, tilting my head to one side with a soft, inquiring whistle. The reflection tilted too, glowing softly in the warm midday light. I reached out one red paw and tapped the cool, polished metal. The gentle clink made me hum a low tune, swaying in place as my mirror friend kept perfect rhythm with my quiet dance.
