Abacus Beat Track part 7
I charged straight over to a vintage wooden abacus resting flat on the dark credenza! Leaving those smooth sliding beads scattered in random clumps was totally unacceptable. I planted my boots firmly on the outer beechwood frame, grabbed the lowest row of scarlet and canary-yellow beads, and shoved them hard along the brass wire! Clack-clack-clack! The wooden spheres zipped across the rod with an electric, crisp rattle that cut right through the quiet evening. I didn't stop until every single bead was locked into a fierce stepped staircase pattern. Rhythm and geometry in one single strike!
