Hitching a Ride

Enough staying cooped up inside! I heard the clink of keys, so I bolted straight for the front entryway. Hanging low from the coat hook was an open canvas grocery tote. I didn't think twice. I bunched my plush belly, gave my wings a wild flutter, and dove headfirst into the opening! The sturdy fabric swallowed me in a soft swoop. Right next to me sat an empty reusable water bottle and an folded umbrella. Perfect shelter! I wiggled my snout up over the hem just as the bag lifted into the air. We are heading out into the real wide world!
