A Slight Pivot
Everything was still. The speckled stone beneath my boots felt solid, cut into clean geometric blocks. Across from me stood a companion in athletic gear, silent and unmoving against the cold sea. I reached out one curved hand and lightly tapped the textured edge of the platform block between us. Solid. I am awake, grounded, and steady.
