A Sturdy Vantage
Carrying my yellow buddy down from the shelf took some patience, but we made it down to the rug without a scratch. For the first stop on our tour, I hoisted us both up onto the low wooden coffee table right in the center of the room. It’s wide and flat, with a clear view across the whole place—from the heavy front door to the sunlit hallway leading out back. A glass tumbler stood near the corner, catching the noon light. I placed my hand on my friend's shoulder to keep his balance steady against the polished pine grain. A solid place to take it all in.
