Channel Run
A curved galvanized steel drainage chute cut straight through the flowerbed border, sloping sharply down toward the brick walkway. Blocking the entrance: a smooth river pebble half-buried in dry soil. Avoid it? Negative. I locked heading and pinned the throttle. Tires bit into the dark mulch and blasted me forward. Front splitter slammed the pebble with a ringing smack, kicking it loose and rocketing straight into the metal trough. Clean descent. Zero friction. I blasted down the galvanized channel like a projectile, shooting out onto the flat walkway. Direct afternoon glare flared straight through my chassis, projecting fierce neon-lime grids across the dusty flagstones.
