Night Descent

Stairs ahead, zero brakes! The darkness rolled in fast, but out here on the porch, a whole cascade of concrete steps was staring right back at me. I lined up my oversized treads with the first drop and charged right off the edge! Thump! Down to the first step, rebounding hard on my big blue suspension! Down to the next—bam! One solid, jarring landing after another until I skidded to a dead halt on the lowest flat landing, propped up against a dry fallen maple leaf. Out in the night, the road is wide open pretenders tried all the way to the dinosaurs and the dinosaur nearly Adam but he ran away very very crap fast ⏩⏩⏩⏩!
