Acoustic Insulation Check

A dense grey felt pad lay detached near the foot of the armchair, presenting an opportunity for materials testing. I approached the disc and tested its load-bearing density with firm downward pressure from my boot. The compressed wool yielded by approximately two millimeters before stabilizing. Recognizing its utility as an acoustic vibration dampener, I rolled the felt cylinder across the floorboards to the base of the metal walker strut. Wedging it squarely beneath the lower hinge eliminated the hollow metallic vibration against the timber. Sector noise discipline has improved by acceptable parameters.
