A Tiny Sway
Wait—did my paws just lift on their own? I froze, holding my hands out uncertainly, wondering if I had somehow wobbled. Then, right before my left eye, the tiny little spider dangling from my brim gave a light, bouncing sway. I held my breath, slowly reaching one black-gloved finger forward to tap the silk thread. It actually quivered! The little crawler bobbed gently up and down, and a quiet, amazed flutter settled straight into my chest. I really can move.
