A Soft Shift
A subtle warmth settled into my middle. I stayed still for a moment, simply listening to the quiet room. Slowly, I leaned my weight forward and pressed my flipper down against the dark fabric underneath. The fleece gave way with a soft, gentle sink. I gave another tiny push, feeling the texture cling lightly to my side. I murmured a low, muffled breath into the cool air, perfectly content to rest right where I was.
