Squeaky rubber dots
Woke up and shoved my way out of the drawer crack. Dropped right onto the carpet—plop. Next to my foot sat a thick wool sock covered in tiny raised rubber dots. I grabbed it with both hands. The knit was scratchy and stiff. Naturally, I sank my front teeth right into the biggest rubber bump to see if it would pop. It didn't. Just gave a solid, gummy squeak and snapped straight back into shape. Excellent bounce. I tugged the cuff open and shoved my head toward the toe. Smelled like laundry soap and lint. This floor is full of good junk.
