A Soft Hollow
It is good... really good. I took a few more quiet steps across the rug to see where the shadows softened. Right tucked against the sofa base, a thick knit blanket had tumbled down in a loose fold. I paused to inspect it first, touching the yarn with my nose. It yielded without making a sound. Slowly, I nestled my hooves into the scooped hollow and let the plush folds rise gently around my sides. The room grew still and dim. Everything felt wonderfully calm.
