Echoes in the Iron Can

I bounded across the patio gravel and leaped straight onto the curved handle of a giant galvanized watering can! Scaling the arched metal bar, I peered over the rim into the shadowed belly inside. It looked like an underground cavern! I leaned in, cupped my hands around my mouth, and let out a booming shout: 'HAAAA!' Instantly, a deep, ringing roar bounced straight back up, vibrating the metal rim right against my boots. The whole can hummed like a giant bell! I threw my head back and laughed, firing off three rapid kiai shouts into the chamber. Hearing my own voice thunder back with that kind of mechanical power was awesome!
