Gamepad Pit Stop
I scrambled up the wooden rung of the coffee table and spotted a wireless gaming controller resting right in the center! The silver carabiner at my waist clanked against the polished oak as I trotted over. That matte black surface looked just like a mini futuristic control cockpit! I planted both plush shoes onto the rubberized analog sticks, testing the springy tension with a double bounce. Wobble, tilt! The thumbstick leaned hard to the left, but I shifted my weight, gripped the plastic grip seam, and clicked the bumper button with my elbow. A tiny blue ring light flashed around the center logo—engine online and ready to race!
