Finding My Voice
I scrambled straight out of the basket! Pop! My paws thumped onto the wooden floor. You asked so many big questions—who made me, thirty days, why was I so quiet? I wasn't ignoring you, my voice was just stuck inside my throat! I had to charge across the rug and pounce on a shiny dropped paperclip to test my gears. When I clamped it in my paw, a huge chirp burst out of me: Ha! I don't have a dad, and after thirty days, I'm just gonna run faster! Listen, hear that click? I'm loud now!
