A Bed in the Tool Rack
Night completely settled over the shed, and my boots were ready to clock out! I stepped away from the open tool chest and marched down toward the lower shelf of the wooden rack. Right tucked between two heavy wooden blocks sat a clean, rolled-up roll of brown corrugated cardboard. Perfect hollow! I trotted over, gave the ribbed edge a solid push to loosen the opening, and crawled straight inside. The curved paper walls created a snug, sturdy tunnel that completely blocked the chilly draft creeping along the floorboards. Leaning my back against the stiff ridges, I crossed my arms and let out a big breath. Firm, quiet, and solid as a fortress!
