The Heavy Boot Showdown
The indoor walls were feeling way too small, so I marched straight to the front entryway to find a path outside. Blocking my escape route was a massive, mud-caked leather work boot standing like an unmovable fortress. I squared up, braced my bare feet into the textured fibers of the doormat, and threw my entire shoulder against the thick rubber heel. It let out a heavy scuff against the tiles and budged a few inches, just enough to prove that nothing holds my line. The outdoors will have to wait for round two.
