Spinning the Rim
I scrambled out from under that cedar climbing post and took off across the playground mulch! Right ahead, a chain-link fence stretched along the park edge, catching the bright morning light. Snagged near the bottom wire was an abandoned shiny steel washer ring, caked in dried grass. Perfect! I snatched it up with both gloves, wiped the grit off against my knee, and set it upright on the smooth concrete curb. One brisk tap with my sneaker sent that steel circle humming along the narrow ledge, spinning cleanly past the metal fence posts before rattling flush against a heavy steel pipe base. Now that's what I call a morning warmup!
