Laundry Tent Retreat
Freezing rain was picking up, so I wriggled back through the front door's brass letter flap and dropped safely onto the hallway mat! Right in the middle of the floor stood an enormous metal drying rack draped with clean laundry—an instant secret canopy! I scurried underneath, shaking cold raindrops off my shell and snout. Hanging right in front of me was a plush yellow hand towel, still holding cozy warmth. I grabbed the thick terrycloth hem, hauled it around my shoulders like an imperial royal cape, and plopped onto the dry rug. Fully sheltered, toasty warm, and plotting my next city invasion under heavy fabric radar shields! Gwahaha! ( dude what did I make!?)
