Waiting for the Lens
I nudged the black phone stand flat onto the rug with one round foot, then sat down beside it. You mentioned wanting to film something today, but taking your time to wake up. That is quite fine with me. Taking time is good. I propped a thick paperback book behind the stand so it wouldn't slide, resting my heavy paws over my belly. The quiet morning dust drifted through the open space. I gave the phone holder a soft tap to make sure it was sturdy, then leaned back to do what I do best: wait patiently.
